2019 MS Graduate, Agricultural Safety and Health (Advisor: Dr. Janssen)
Person Type:

Kyle Godwin is a recent graduate of our program: he earned a Master of Science in Agricultural Safety and Health in May 2019. His thesis is entitled: "Farmer Suicide and Access to Care in Iowa." He received his Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Drake University in Des Moines, IA, and is originally from Council Bluffs, IA. Like many rural Iowans, Kyle was involved with FFA during high school, and agriculture has played a significant role in his life. An increased interest in the combination of agriculture and health sciences led him to discover and pursue the Agricultural Safety and Health graduate program at the University of Iowa. Kyle is also involved with the Heartland Center for Occupational Health and Safety. His research interests include animal safety, injury prevention, and assessing/preventing other adverse health effects. Kyle would like to go into the agricultural industry.
