Elizabeth Miller is the Administrative Services Coordinator in the department of Occupational and Environmental Health, working closely with Dr. Diane Rohlman to provide administrative, research, and project support. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from the University of Northern Colorado, and a Master of Education degree from Regis University in Denver, where her research examined and identified roadblocks to efficient use of technology in public education. Her thesis project culminated in a handbook meant to provide educators and administrators the tools they need to integrate technology with classroom pedagogy. Elizabeth is a relatively recent transplant to Iowa, having moved from Cody, Wyoming to Iowa City for her husband's job in September 2016. Elizabeth grew up in Littleton, Colorado, and spent much of that time hiking and skiing in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Although her background is not in public health, Elizabeth brings skills gleaned from years spent in both public education and public service roles that translate well to her current position with the University of Iowa. Moreover, in her previous position as an Employment Specialist with the State of Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, Elizabeth spent considerable time with individuals seeking jobs in both agricultural and health-related fields, helping to educate them on the importance of and their rights to occupational health and safety.
