Ericka Klingner is the Administrative Services Coordinator in the department of Occupational and Environmental Health, working closely with Dr. Diane Rohlman to provide administrative, research, and project support. Ericka came to the university after serving as the administrator of the Putnam County Health Department in Unionville, MO, for over 12 years. Under her direction the health department’s funding and programming was diversified with grants from NACCHO, Missouri Foundation for Health, and others. She is a graduate of the Missouri Public Health Leadership Institute Cycle XIV. She has been featured in the NACCHO Quarterly Exchange and the Missouri Livable Streets Design Guidelines. In 2014 she was named the Missouri Rural Health Champion. She has a passion for public health and serving rural communities. 

Klingner began her career at Preferred Family Healthcare in Kirksville, MO, as a substance abuse prevention specialist. She provided technical assistance to community coalitions in a nine county region and gained experience in grant writing before becoming the Prevention Programs Administrator. She then managed five programs and was responsible for budget preparations, contract renewals and rebids, as well as soliciting new funding opportunities.  Ericka holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Iowa.
